Carbon Cue Shaft Blanks in Pink
Cue Stick Introduce:
A cue stick (or cue, more specifically, billiards cue, pool cue, or snooker cue) is an item of sporting equipment essential to pool, snooker, and carom billiards games. It is used to strike a ball, usually the cue ball. Cues are tapered sticks, typically about 57–59 inches (about 1.5 m) long and usually between 16 and 21 ounces (450–600 g), with professionals gravitating toward a 19-ounce (540 g) average. Most cues are made of wood, but occasionally the wood is covered or bonded with other materials, including graphite, carbon fiber, or fiberglass. An obsolete term for a cue, used from the 16th to early 19th centuries, is a billiard stick.
The variation of Pool most often played in international competitions is 9-ball. On each shot, the first ball that the cue ball contacts must be the lowest-numbered ball on the table, but the balls need not be pocketed in order.
If a player pockets any ball on a legal shot, they remain at the table for another shot and continue until they miss, foul or win the game by pocketing the 9-ball.
Balls: 16 (in a complete set, numbers 1 – 15 plus the cue ball)
Pockets: 6
Goal: To legally pocket the winning ball
Games: 8-Ball, 9-ball, 10-Ball, 14.1 Continuous, Blackball, Chinese Pool
